REMINGTON CRAMSEY (l), age 8 and Brody Copher (r), age 8, attempt to wave the biggest bubble possible. The bubble station was a popular attraction for kids of all ages. Whether it be using the humongous wands to wave a bubble or blow smaller ones, the station was in constant use. Parents and grandparents even got involved, blowing bubbles which many of the young kids would then chase around, trying their hardest to pop every last bubble. Remington is a son of Jacob and Bridget Cramsey of Barry. Brody is a son of Marsha and Eric Copher of Kinderhook.

JACK NATION (l), age 12 and Blake Fee (r), age 11, show off the new creation they made. Some might call it an alien; some might call it a robot. Regardless, it was still an impressive piece of work. While younger kids did mess around with the building blocks, for the most part the older kids stuck to this activity. Some other creations that were made with these blocks included a racetrack and a fort. Jack is a son of Brian and Christine Nation of Barry. Blake is a son of Lacy and Matt, also of Barry.

AKIM SCOTT (front) stands atop his throne, while his younger brother Zachariah Scott (back) slides down the blocks. This activity was popular for two different games: king of the hill and build the blocks up and jump through them. King of the hill is a game where all competitors stand at the top of the platform and through a plethora of pushing and shoving, the last one standing atop wins. In this case, Akim was the winner. This activity certainly required the most parental supervision. Akim and Zachariah are sons of Dacon and Harin Scott of Barry.

TIFFANY PETERS (l) and TIFFANY HOLLAND (r) stand next to the trailer that carried all the activities. Both oversaw today’s fun at Barry’s Lafayette Park. Quincy Children’s Museum provided the games, while the Barry Public Library put the event on. The Barry Public Library is hosting children reading events, every Thursday through the month of June. While this is the only time the Quincy Children’s Museum will be present, kids and parents are strongly encouraged to check out the upcoming dates. Tiffany is a Tracy Family Foundation Consultant, helping with today’s activities. Amy is the Executive Director of the Quincy Children’s Museum.
